The Mustard Seed Street Church

Our Present

The Mustard Seed congregation is led by Senior Pastor Tom Oshiro on Sunday afternoons @ 1:15 PM. Please come as you are … everyone is welcome. There is also a very active Children’s Church at the same time on Sundays.

Bible Study is hosted at the Mustard Seed every Wednesday evening and it is led by Pastor Chris Riddell. Dessert is served at 7:00pm followed by Bible Study from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.

These services and our other support groups are crucial to the weekly ministry within our community. We are a caring community offering opportunity for education, improved self-esteem, financial responsibility and an enhanced personal vision of life. This spiritual and personal connection each week gives a positive alternative to those who are desperately reaching out.

Our History

Almost thirty years ago the Mustard Seed Street Church began from a prayer closet in a store on Government Street in Victoria. The need of the under-privileged was so great that the ministry expanded to a building on Pandora Avenue. It began its outreach to the community as a church which soon grew to include a food bank, clothing bank, counseling and advocacy service, prison visitation and street ministry. Since 1995, the new facilities on Queens Avenue have brought an enlarged dimension to the existing ministries. It is our hope to incorporate other services to continue to address our mandate of meeting the needs of the impoverished.
