Recovery

Here at The Mustard Seed, we believe in restoration. We want to come alongside those struggling with brokenness and addiction, meet them where they’re at, and encourage them towards positive change. We host weekly recovery meetings, offer counseling, and house those seeking rehabilitation at our Hope Farm Healing Centre.

Dayle was accepted as a resident at Hope Farm Healing Centre in 2010 when his life had reached rock bottom. It was at Hope Farm that Dayle experienced restoration. He recovered from his addiction and is now committed to using his second chance to “pay it forward.”
Hope Farm was created as a sanctuary for those struggling with addiction. The programs focus on recovery for the whole person, including physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social healing. Being ‘healed’ instead of being ‘treated’ has made the difference in Dayle’s life. He now sees success as much more than staying sober. “God saved my life and I can start giving back now. I am living out the core Hope Farm values of faithfulness, community, stewardship, and shalom.”
Dayle is starting his new life at 52. He has friends, a church community, and reconnection with his family. He has worked out a disability settlement from a 2006 logging accident that will allow him to live independently, support his children, and give back to the community.
By the time you’re reading this, Dayle might be long gone from Hope Farm. When he does eventually leave, whenever that may be, he will become a volunteer and role model for those in recovery. “A year ago, I didn’t have a spiritual bone in my body,” Dayle says. “Being here has changed me. I have patience, am healthy, and have a soft heart now.”
