What is Happening on Hope Farm in this Season?
Hope Farm Healing Centre is excited to be hosting life-impacting day-programs which are gratefully funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia. Participants gain hands-on work experience and skills through gardening, greenhouse growing, landscaping, grounds-keeping activities, and general farm practices. For more information (Link to poster)
As a result, we will have a farm stand with fresh produce available this spring. Of course, we still have our excellent eggs for sale in the meantime. We have plans to continue our support of food security programs in the community, and expand their capacity to feed those in need. Nourish Cowichan is one of our partners.
Residential healing programs will be resuming. We are in the process of painting and renovating our housing to accommodate community members on their healing journey.
Many thanks to the Duncan Lions Club for the financial support they have given towards this project! Please check back for more updates.
In addition, you can find Hope Farm Healing Centre volunteers having fun working at the Sassy Lion Thrift Store on Saturdays. (Come join us!) This opportunity to share Saturday revenues with the Duncan Lions Club has made an impact on our ability to offer life-changing programs. Your household donations to the Sassy Lion helps support this work.
