The Seed Volunteers

Here at the Mustard Seed Street Church, we love volunteers who are kind, eager to serve and have a heart for the community. As a non-profit organization, we heavily rely on our amazing volunteers to be able to run smoothly throughout the year.

We are actively looking for volunteers in all of our departments at our downtown location (625 Queens Ave), and a few spots at our Food Security Distribution Centre Warehouse (808B Viewfield Rd). Times available are from 8am to 4pm (varies in each department), Monday to Friday, and 5-8pm, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Mustard Seed Street Church has COVID-19 protocols in place starting with proof of vaccination and a mandated mask rule to ensure the safety of our volunteers, community members, and staff.

Volunteer Opportunities

Check out some of our different volunteer opportunities below! Currently we are operating our Food Security and Hospitality departments and are accepting new volunteers!

Our volunteers assist staff every day to collect, receive, inspect, sort and package items into nutritious hampers for people that need assistance. Opportunities are available at our Queens and Viewfield warehouses.

Hospitality House exists to answer these questions:  Needing a haircut? New-to-you clothing or shoes? Facing a personal crisis? Want to learn how to cook? Need prayer? Lonely and want fellowship? These are the types of services we offer in our Hospitality House through the help of our volunteers.

The Mustard Seed Street Church would not function without a dedicated and talented Administration team of staff. From managing our offices to working with donors, hosting our reception window, managing volunteers and keeping our facilities clean, the staff are assisted by diligent volunteers. These roles are an integral part of how the Mustard Seed remains open and available to meet the needs of the community they serve.
