Christmas Dinner

The Mustard Seed’s Christmas Dinner, 40 years in the making.

Sunday, November 18, 2018

5:00PM at The Bay Street Armoury

What started from humble beginnings, The Mustard Seed’s Christmas Dinner has grown exponentially over the years thanks to the generous support of the Times Colonist Christmas Fund and its community donors.

In 2017, more than 750 guests who access our programs and services, were served a meal by Ryan Orr, Executive Chef from the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, his mother, Lynn Orr and a HUGE team of volunteers. Through the preparation of 300 kilograms of turkey, 180 kilograms of potatoes, 160 kilograms of vegetables, and 130 litres of gravy, this day marked the start of the holiday season!

We’re grateful for the 100 volunteers who assisted with three days of cooking, set-up and dinner service as well as those that took the time to enjoy the feast with our guests. Musical delights made this event fun for the whole family!

Anticipation is running high for the 2018 Christmas dinner! Please note, for those joining the festivities, a separate family seating area and craft table for children will be designated.
