Fair Start for Kids Back-to-School Program registration will be open from May 19 to June 30, or until full. Registration can be completed in person or by phone.

Fair Start for Kids
The cost of returning to school each year is expensive. Many families facing economic challenges struggle to cover the extra costs inherent to a new school year, such as school supplies, runners and snacks.
Fair Start for Kids removes the stigma that surrounds poverty by providing over 600 children and youth with back-to-school supplies, new running shoes and healthy snacks yearly.
With Fair Start we set kids and families up for success!
Back-to-School Program Update 2025
We had a wonderful time at our Fair Start – Back-to-School distribution day! 600 children, accompanied by their parents, came by to pick up brand-new school supplies, running shoes, and snacks to start the school year strong.
A huge thank you to our generous donors, our amazing partners Monk Office and FrontRunners, and our supporters Soap for Hope, Greater Victoria Public Library and Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria.
Endless gratitude to all the incredible volunteers and staff whose hard work made this day such a success. Together, we’re helping kids head back to school with confidence and joy!
Donations can be made online, via e-transfer, or in person. You’re welcome to drop off a cheque or donate by credit card at our office at 625 Queens Ave.
